As your family grows or your needs change, simply make your home larger… Look at this plan. "Wehave a patent registered all over the world and we will start tosell the M.A.Di house in about two months," says Antonucci. "Wewould like to export out of Italy and we are looking forpartnerships, investor and buyers. I hope to sell it out of Italy,North Europe, USA and Australia." If you make a purchase through the links posted within this page, we may receive compensation.
It'd also be a cool DIY project to build a cabin or hunting lodge. EachM.A.Di module features galvanized steel frames suitably proportionedto support the home's opening and closing movement. Polyurethane foamis used to waterproof the home while also contributing to its thermalinsulation. The walls are also insulated with high-density rockwool andthe window frames can be installed in PVC or aluminum.

At the time of writing, only a few units were built in the UK. A-Frame House plans always look sharp especially when designed by skillful Italian architects such as Renato Vidal. His main task was to create a foldable prefab tiny house that is easy to erect in one day or so. In a time when real estate prices are going through the roof, Italian Renato Vidal has created a brilliant alternative to traditional housing. Is a flat pack folding home that costs only $33K and three people can assemble it in any flat location in about 6 hours.
Two architects built this oddly-shaped structure in their own backyard. The shape is actually very practical – it can handle numerous California earthquakes much better than most of the traditional homes. Another advantage is in its resistance to infamous Santa Ana winds and other possible elements. These shipping containers are designed to carry up to 350 tons and stack up to 9 containers high.

Each homestretches over two levels and comes equipped with a kitchen, diningarea and bathroom located on the ground floor, while the bedroom/s are locatedon the upper floor. The building's A frame structure and uniquefolding ability allows the home to be prefabricated off site,flat-packed and transported via truck or container to its designated build site. Italianarchitect Renato Vidal has created a prefabricated foldable housethat takes less than a day to install once on site.
Finally, there’s a triple module designed for families or small companies that range from 70 square meters to 84 square meters . Home is that it can be placed on any flat/leveled ground, and does not require a concrete foundation to be erected. That said, if it is intended for the structure to be placed for extended periods, it is suggested by the architects and builders, to anchor the structure with screw pile foundations.

When needed loggias or terraces can be added to each module creating outside additional spaces. Double-pane glass and mini-split air conditioning/heating unit can really help with creating a perfect workspace climate. St. Petersburg–based studio SA Lab created a module designed for harsh weather conditions such as freezing winds with snow and ice. The oval-shaped plan helps with aerodynamics providing structural stability during strong winds. Surely a downsized, bare bones, cheap version could be made for disaster, refugee, etc. In the future most all building construction will be prefab made in a factory with quick installation.
At that price it is of course inferior to a normal house. I'm fairly sure it won't last as long as a normal house. The idea behind is that you can assemble it and then dismantle it when no longer needed and that you have endless variations. I think they had refugee camps in mind rather than family homes. You can see that there is a huge difference between VIPP’s design approach and all other companies that were listed above.

Thestandard M.A.Di structure is considered class B for energy consumption, but can be customized to meet class A and A++.This includes the possibility of making it a passive house. The homecan easily be installed with rooftop solar panels, LED lighting, water tanks and a gray water system. If desired, the home can be packed away and stored in awarehouse for future uses.
The M.A.Di homeis an economic flat-packed housing solution that is not onlysustainable, but designed to last and withstandearthquakes. Manufactured by wood specialist Area Legno in Italy, theM.A.Di home is built using CLT to create a modular and multi-functionalanti-seismic family home. Can even be constructed without a concrete foundation. The structures can be assembled to go completely off-grid with the addition of solar panels, grey water systems, and LED lighting.
It is also very durable, earthquake resistant, and aesthetically pleasing. Upon completion, it will be shipped directly to the building site. Most smaller and medium models can be assembled by a team of two. Very cool but extremely expensive for what you're getting.
These homes are very innovative, and I am sure the folks at M.A.DI Homes would be excited to speak with you regarding the availability of their products in your region. From there it takes as few as three people to add on the rest of the house's parts. I think the bedroom would be upstairs so that all the vertical space can be used.
